Tears of Injustice is a new recording of Mdou Moctar’s 2024 album Funeral for Justice performed entirely on acoustic instruments. Sessions took place at Brooklyn’s BunkerStudio in the summer of 2023 — booked as a way to make use of downtime while the bandwas briefly stranded in the United States in the wake of Niger’s recent military coup.
